HELP! Quick Mask Problems

Hi everyone;

I've been having some problems with Quick Mask. Up until today, it has worked fine. For some reason, probably though some (for something different ) fault of my own, I seem to have broken it.

Basically, I can enter quick mask mode, but when I "paint" on the image to be masked, nothing happens. I have tried checking the presets and changing everything from colour to opacity, but still nothing. I just can't work out what I've done!

If anyone can help me with this problem, I would be VERY grateful!

Oh, and if anyone can either give me some tips on "glamouring" pictures, or point me in the direction of some decent tutorials, I would be very happy!

Thanks all!

I can't seem to reproduce the problem with the information you are providing. What size brush are you using?

Well, in the image I am currently using, I have a size 75 px brush. I tried using Quick Mask in another inamge also, using only a 35 px hard brush, but with the same result. For some reason, I can't see the mask!

I also tried just using the mask anyway, to see if it was just a problem with the colour, but it didn't work. I masked an area, then exited quick mask, and there were no marching ants and duplicating the image only reproduced the entire image, not just the section I had supposedly masked. So it seems as though Quick Mask isn't working at all...

Thanks for trying to help!

When Photoshop misbehaves, it's usually quickest and easiest to spank it by deleting the Preferences file. Here's how to do it: creativepro.com - Photoshop Tips: Trashing the Preferences File
