a few questions

Hey all!

first of all i like to say this site rocks. im making my portfolio with all kinds of tricks i leran here.

but i need help with 2 problems and i hope you guys can give me some awnsers

first question : i saw the cut trough metal tutorial : BioRUST.com :: Tutorials >> Laser-Cut Metal , and it rockt! but annyone know how to make the spark in it?

question nr 2: i downloaded a layer style .. how can i get it into my photoshop document. i got windows vista and adobe CS3 master collection.

mabey this are noob questions but i hope you guys can help me

I can help with the second part of your post..

You'v downloaded a style so you need to place that .ASL file in your Photoshop Styles directory...

Assuming you use a standard install, it should go into:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Styles

Then, load Photoshop and open your document.

Open your 'Styles' Window (Window >> Styles) and use the Pallete menu to load in the new style.

You can now apply the style by selecting a layer in your documnet and clicking the style you wish to apply.

Malboroman stated in his tutorial that he used brushes from Biorust's photoshop resources section. I would suggest trying 'Sparky' and 'Glitter and Spark' from the ninth page of PS brushes.
