Hey .psd

Downloaded actions and layer styles go in their own folders in the Photoshop Program Directory under Presets

For example (Using Windows)

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Actions

or

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Styles

Once you have saved your downloads to the proper directories, you can load them from the pallete

Hope this helps!

Mike.

Now, could some please tell me how to use them? I thought that they were something else.

For layer styles look here (click) (Layer Styles). But actions are a bit harder to explain. Actions are series of events recorded in the order of execution and use the same settings for filters/layers/curves/etc as during the recording. Actions can do prettymuch anything from creating gradient backgrounds to zoom effects to borders to full time images. It all depends on the action.

Turvas, -or anyone else,
Where do you find the actions tool, as in the drop down actions (ie. filter>blur>gausian blur)

Thanks though turvas

By default, the Actions are in a tab over on the right in the same pane as the History tab. If they're not there, you'll need to go to the windows pulldown and select "show actions". To use them, it's just the matter of having the desired layer active, selecting the action and then hitting the play button at the bottom of the pane.
