Help With Realistic Clouds?

does anyone know how to make realistic clouds? I'm trying to figure out how to do it for a landscape, and I haven't found any tutorials that seem natural.

there are a set of Photoshop Brushes that help... i've attached them to this message...

Just set your foreground to white (if you want white clouds) and use the brush... just click - don't drag!

They are also available in the Resources Section of this website!

i hope this link works, he has frames and stuff on his site, lemme know if you can't get to the tutorial... and i'll find another link. he hand painted it,

but there are other ways, I made a cloud brush in like 5 minutes and animated it using flash. It's far from perfect, but it was quick.
smoke-test

I used multiple brush settings, the key is to use the dual brush setting, to help give you variance in the brush's texture.

another option you can go with is to find an already exsisting cloud photo, and modify and clone it and paint over it, until you are happy with your desired look.

you also might try tutorials>photograohic FX>fog and mist
possibly begin at step 5 thats how I made the smoky enviorment in my pool room pic (see my gallery)
I also achieved some moderate luck with following that tutorial from step 5 on a blank canvas (but after the clouds filter, i added 3 difference dlud filters over one another) and then flattening the image, selecting the non cloud area with a magic wand, selecting inverse, adding a bevel/emboss effect, then reselecting the non cloud area, selecting inverse again, new layer via cut, and then dragging and droping onto my image and using transform>scale to get everything the right size. finally ending by erasing the edge clouds and some that i didn't like and using a SLIGHT gaussian blur to fog the edges a bit

It looks a bit cartoony but its a thought.

If you are using photoshop, you could select the area in which you want the clouds, and then go to

Filter > Render > Clouds

and adjust the settings until you get what you want.

After that you can colorize them (Ctrl+U) or do whatever else you want or need
