Help (glue)

Hey everyone. I'm probably not the most likely to post like this, but what the heck... Does anyone have any good techniques for making glue in PS? It shuld be like semitransparent and stuff... Or any tutorials? You'd really help me out. Thanks in advance.

My first thought: the Plastic Wrap filter. Attached is an example it took me about 30 seconds to do: drew a shape, did Filter > Render > Clouds then Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap and played with the settings. You could probably do something a lot better with more time and attention to detail.

If this is totally off the mark, some more details about what you're trying to do would be useful.

You were pretty close, tamlin. What i'm searching for is like... Hard to describe.
with nearly no bg color. Like maybe very low opacity fill? and somekind of highlights and shadows... It's going to hold two pieces together.
