umm, a little more detail on the project please...

It would be helpful if we knew what 3d program you are using to do this...

Are you making the UV's yourself or are you using something already created?

and also can you give us screenshots of your problem as well...

and for texturing i would try the texture i have posted in the other thread, here is it... (Help with UV's)

if you don't want to use that texture to help you place your checker texture...

then put a pink dot in one of the squares, this will show you where your texture is being placed on the model.

and go from there.

Its Imvu web site. I like to go there and practice texturing 3D meshes . My main problem is getting the pattern to match up at the seams. If there any thing els you can tell me about texturing 3D would be great to hear it. Ive seen to of got caught up in the whole thing Its fun to do.Oh yea I think most of the people that do meshes there use 3D max7 .That's about the only one other than blender that will export to there previewer.

well to match up the seams, i would probably duplicate the pixels on 1 side of the seam and just paste them onto the other side of the seam to make them lineup

I would just paint each section like as if you are painting on the actual body, and not just a giant texture on top of everything solid like how you have...

PS. clone tool comes in handy as well as the liquify filter...

How does the liquify filter work?
