Can anyone help me?

Hi, sorry to register and start asking for help but I'm at a loss as to where to go. Hopefully someone here might be able to help me

OK, I make dollhouses as a hobby and I need a wallpaper for a retro room. I can't find anything suitable on the internet to buy (everything is really old fashioned) so thought maybe I could find a pattern I liked and repeat it in photoshop til I get a full page of wallpaper then print it out. Sounds good yeah? However, the picture I have found doesn't have a "full" pattern on it, the design goes off the edges of the image and so I can't just simply repeat it. The photo also appears to have been taken at a slight angle too, which adds to the confusion!

Is there anyway I can do this or am I asking the impossible?

Please help!

I don't know if this will help or not, but this recent thread links to a very good tutorial showing how to make repeating patterns. Maybe you could extract parts from your original image (or better still, create your own based on that design) and then follow the tut to make your own version?

If you let me know how big you would like the blue flower to be in the final design I'll do an A4 page for you - no problem it'll only take me a few minutes. My dad makes doll's houses too and has had the same problem - I've done similar things for him. Cheers.

Thanks for your replies...

I had a look at that tutorial, and I must be a bit dim because it went right over my head lol

But i had a go at cropping a single flower out of the image and adding to it so it bacame a whole flower (instead of having half the petals missing), changed the colours and sizes and this is what I came up with. It's not a repeating pattern, but it's A4 size which should be big enough to cover the one wall I need it for.

Bill, thanks for the offer, and if you think you could do a better one then please fire away! I'm very much a novice at this so all help is appreciated

I quickly did this - it's not perfect when you look real close but at the scale you need it might be ok. It only took a few mins so if it's no good then don't worry about binning it. If you click on this link it won't work for some reason but if you type it into your address bar it should take you to the image from where you can copy and paste it.

Looks pretty good to me.

PS: I fixed your link for you - it'll open OK if you click on it now.

Dawn,

Don't know if you had a chance to check the image I did. Check out the end of this thread for the link.
