hi
dinozaver
i'm not to sure what you mean

do you mean you want the paper in the background "paper" deleted

go to the tool bar on the right handside
and there is a rubber symbol "next to the bucket"

choose> eraser tool
and you can rub out the background around the sign

or you can choose>magic eraser and click away the background

i hope that's what you are mean

Well yes that helps too. But i wanted to know how i can define the shape of the lines in logo. Pen tool, but the lines are messy. I need clean lines so i can manipulate with them.

Yes the pen tool and trace around the shape. If you're looking to vectorize it, I'd do it in Illustrator or Corel Draw. That way once you've traced it you can size it up or down without a loss in quality.

if you doing it in photoshop then maybe try a different brush
maybe a bit thicker so it won't look so messy
a "soft round brush "might do the trick just put your cursor on the brush and it will tell you which one is a soft brush
and maybe a little bit larger,it might be a bit more easy to use
and might not look so mesy

well honestly i think the pen tool is great! i use it for creating shapes in photoshop always.

yuo can manipulate the "smoothness" of the curves by changing it's anchor type

to do this you use the "convert point tool"
if the corners are hard and you want them rounded; you can use this tool. Just click and drag on the anchor point that you want smoothed out...and you will get a thing called "bezier handles...then once you have those, you can use the direct select tool (a is the shortcut key for that) then you can click and move the handles around...

same goes for making anchors hard. you just click on the anchor (don't click drag) with the "convert point tool" to get rid of the smooth anchor.

*NOTE: just a quick tip when using the pen tool to trace objects: the less anchor points you create the easier it is to keep the lines clean and smooth, resulting in faster editing, etc.
