rollover problem

hey everyone, long time no see. I've been working on a template in photoshop cs2 and I was making rollovers for my navigation bar and once I slice it, the rollover only takes the slice of the button not the whole area that I have made that i want to be a rollover. When i test it by pressing (Y) in imageready or in a browser, it only takes up the size of the rectangular slice instead of the area I have indicated for the slice. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I have been using photoshop for many years now and this is the first time I have encountered this problem before. Photoshop 6 and 7 never gave me this problem. thanks again...

not quite sure what you mean.

if the issues are occurring after you "export for web" then i would have to say that it only exports the 1 slice because, you have it set for "export selected slices only" instead of the "all slices" setting (that's found in 'save optimized as' popup)

now if you are having issues with your button being larger than your slice, then i would just resize your slice so that it completely encases your rollover.

it would be much more helpful if you posted the problem so that we can take a look at it.

even multiple screenshots would be useful

By looking at the slice dimensions you have in the screenshot...it's working how it should.

if you want it to affect the image right to the edge of the page, i'd make your slice wider.
