So NOT like this:
[Brush 1] [Brush 1][Brush 1][Brush 1]
[Brush 2] [Brush 2][Brush 2][Brush 2]
[Brush 3] [Brush 3][Brush 3][Brush 3]

But like this:
[Brush 1] [Brush 2][Brush 3][Brush 4]
[Brush 1] [Brush 2][Brush 3][Brush 4]
[Brush 1] [Brush 2][Brush 3][Brush 4]
It's weird and irritating, when i want to pick a brush whole Ps crashed :E
And deleting them one-O-one is too much work...

Help??

Do you have your brushes in multiple locations? Does your Preset Manager know where the secondary location for brushes?

I had a problem in PS7 with duplicate listing of brushes and it had to do with my directing the Preset Manager to look in 2 places; the brushes were duplicated in the 2nd location, which I really used only as a 'holding bin'.
