fonts in cs2

anybody had the same trouble where you go to use a font and it closes pshop,does anybody know why or have a solution.
Just comes up with program error and closes.

Your font is likely corrupt... if it's Mac, i hear this is common... you just need to delete the damaged file and replace it with a fresh copy of the font.

I've never encountered the problem on PC, but i imagine it's just as possible...

Is it just one font? or any font?

thanks for the reply,i use a pc not mac but this happens with all the fonts,i have scanned the folders and the computer and everythings ok,i also restarted the computer rom a cold start and it still happened.

If unexpected things start happening in Photoshop (I assume you're not getting the same behaviour in any other app?) you could try trashing your preferences file. If you don't know how to do that, this should explain:

In Preferences> Fonts > uncheck "Preview". I know that it prevents CS2 from freezing/dragging.

thanks for the tip shandy9 will give that a try as well have deleted the pref folder and that seems to have worked.if it starts again will try this thanks.
