Question Integrating those Layer-effects..?

Hi there.

Please help me. Is there any way to integrate layer-effects into a layer? Meaning that they are no longer treated like layer-effects, but actual parts of the layer..?
I.e taking a square with an outer glow and making that glow permanent. Without making it permanent, using the eraser tool whould rewrite the glow so that it still follows the outer line of the square, right? Now I'm suggesting that there should be some way to have the glow stay where it is, and even erase some parts of the glow itself. Is there? I'd be glad to know.

not 100% sure what you mean but if you right click on the layer effects icon it opens up, look down the list and there should be one that says "create layers" if you click this all your layer effects will be put into seperate layers and you can tweak whatever you want.
hope this helps,if not sorry i babbled on.

It helps! Thank you!

Or.. Well, it helps a bit. Using your technique, you end up with two layers. One for the object, and one for the effects, with the effects-layer on top. If you then select the effects layer and use CTRL+E (put together downwards or something like that (i'm using the swedish version)) you get it as one layer. Then you can do whatever you want. Erase!

Thank you.
