fonts have all gone to the wrong size

Don't know how to explain this, cos, I don't know how it's gone wrong, ok been using CS2 for a couple of months now and my fonts worked properly, just recently they are gigantic, if say I use arial at size 8 it look like it's at size 40 all the fonts are like that and I don't know why? I am not very technically minded so any help would be great.T.I.A.

Check the resolution (pixels/inch) of your image. You can see this by selecting Image > Image Size... and looking in the Resolution box. If your resolution is excessively small (e.g. 1 px/in), your type will appear really small, and if your resolution is excessively large (e.g. 1000 px/in), your type will appear huge.

If your images are for display on the web, they only need to have a resolution in the range of 65-165 px/in. If they are for printing, a resolution of 300 px/in is usually adequate.
