This may be a super-n00b question...

... but I'm looking to get a new laptop soon, and am considering upgrading from PS7 (yes, still...) to CS2. What I'd like to know is, can I transfer all the brushes, layer styles, custom shapes etc I've collected over to CS2 i.e. will they be compatible with PS7? Or is it a case of "suck it and see"?

All advice/comments welcome!!

As far as I know, all PS7 presets are compatible with later versions. I seem to remember importing all my brushes and stuff when I upgraded and they all worked fine.
It doesn't work the other way round, though (i.e. you can't use CS2 brushes in PS7, for example).

I am using CS2 right now, switched just recently and managed to import all I needed from my old files with no problem. And they were from various versions too so ...

Thank you both. Pretty much what I thought, but I have a habit of getting things wrong (well, more a career than a habit) so I figured it best to check with the pros!
