Send a message via AIM to pscoke
webpage as an image

There's a message board I hang around a lot and some times I save the webpage as html to view back on later for laughs and giggles. I save a lot of pages and that leads to lots of clutter so I decided to make them into images.

The way I've been doing it is opening up the page in IE, take a screen shot after each time I press the page down key and paste it into PS. So, after that is all done I have about 20 screen shots sitting in PS. I record some actions to same time, but after I've croped them all and move them into a new image it looks awful, uneven and you can see where each image has been croped. Is there better way to do this?

I know there are programs out there that can do this but I haven't been able to find any that are freeware and doing it in PS is a fun experience.

I suppose you could always try the Photomerge feature in Photoshop (File > Automate > Photomerge...).
I've never used it to stitch together screenshots, so I don't know if it would give you what you want, but I've used it a few times to make panoramas and it works really well.

I use Firefox with the scrapbook extension to save the page as is and the Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic extension to save it as a an image. Page Saver captures the whole page without the need to paste screen captures together manually.

That sounds like a good idea - a lot less hassle than stitching screenshots together. Another tick in the box for Firefox!
