According to this tutorial - BioRUST.com :: Tutorials >> Type Along A Path - you need PS CS or higher to make text flow along a path. Maybe it's time for an upgrade?

an upgrade...if I had the money... is it possible that CS person would like to just put the text in a circle for me? its on a much longer, more complicated project, a small part of it. The text would be:
The Dental School of South London, white, in arial font .

Work paths and text

I have PS7 and therefore can't use paths to 'bend' text. The easiest solution is to create your cirlcle in one layer then use a different layer for each letter you want to follow the curve. With each letter go to Edit - Transform - Rotate and rotate each letter until it follows the curve. A bit time consuming, especially if you have a lot of letters but you get there in the end.

Chamenas,

If you have Illustrator you could do it in that program, and then copy & paste the text into photoshop.

Or you could download the free 30 day trial of photoshop from Adobe.Com

Ah man. You can't do this in PS7?!? Darn it. Thanks for mentioning this though. I was all over the web trying to find this answer and came up with nada. Your info is much appreciated.
