when i save a psd into .jpg/png/bmp, colors would be alot different than on the one im working with as a psd. i dunno if its my photoshop that is having the problem or the whole program has a bug. could someone pls enlighten me and tell me what to do? i couldnt sleep because of this and its 2 am... Most likely, you are saving as a PNG-8 (which has a maximum of 256 colors) and not PNG-24.

When you save for web with photoshop, make sure the dialog that comes up is set to PNG-24.

Based on your screen capture... I think you may be able to use PNG-8 but your current settings are restricting it to too few colours... or you have web-snap set to 100%

Try those and let me know...

Mike.

It sounds like your monitor colour profile is different to your document colour profile. For a start, make sure your monitor is calibrated correctly - if you have Photoshop, run the Adobe Gamma applet in your Windows Control Panel, click the Wizard button and follow the instructions. What colour profile are you currently defaulting to in your documents?

You can find more information if you do a search for "color management" in Photoshop Help.
