Organization of Fonts

Ok so, I dl'd new fonts from the font site that someone posted, I think its in the generals section which I recommend taking a look at.. well I went to go refresh my font list and holy fark! I have like 2 thousand something fonts and I was like ok no. When I was dling a few fonts in my head I was like i need to get rid of fonts I dont use and dont like.. is there any easy way of getting rid of fonts? I was thinking of just erasing all my fonts period but I dont know what that would do.. this is mainly just for photoshop but can anyone help me out with this?? If so thank you so much!! I appreciate your help!

You need a Font Manager. There are quite a few available, and most are freeware. I use a little app called FontPage: FontPage free download. FontPage lets you examine and compare all of the fonts on your system. You can view any typeface in bold, italic, underline and also 3D. In addition, ...

Depends very much on the spec of your computer, and what apps you use. Having a huge number of fonts installed mainly affects the loading-time of apps that include lists of installed fonts (such as Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver etc.), but once you've sparked 'em up I don't think there should be much of a performance hit on a reasonably fast computer.

so this sucks.. i logged into or on to yahoos page and i guess a font i deleted was one that yahoo uses.. and now its a crappy ew font. and i dont know what to do.. do you know how i can find what font it was?

ok scratch that.. it was either one of the A type or O type files. i restored those ones.. just a heads up.. thanks again though

If you mean the home page Yahoo! I looked at the page source and it uses a combination of Arial and Verdana, both of which are widely-used fonts. I wouldn't recommend uninstalling either of those.

No it wasnt one of those it was I think one of those WS blah blah blah.. an A type font. But ah who cares now because its fixed lol. Thanks again
