advanced plastic

hi guys, i'm new - so let me tell you how much i appreciate this page, your tuts helped me loads of times.
could you guys help me out?, i'm currently designing a webpage, and i want to create an effect, but the problem is that i cannot find any tutorials for it.
i want the page to look like everything is being pressed through a layer of plastic, which is just about to rip. does anyone have an idea how to create something like that?, or does anyone know where i could find a tutorial for that?

please help me out, i've been cracking my head for hours on this.
thanks

Well, in Photoshop you have the Plastic Wrap filter. You don't need a tutorial for it - just load up an image and select Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap... and then play with the settings.

Not sure how you'd apply this to a whole web page though...?

that's what i thought, and i ended up with this: ImageShack - Hosting :: untitledyt9.jpg

but that doesn't quite do it, because it isn't clean enough and is very hard to maintain as a style through and through. isn't there an easier way to get a clean look on it?

From my experience, the Plastic Wrap filter works best when your image has plenty of detail and contrasting areas for it to work on.

I don't think there's a simple way to do what you're asking because it's so specific, but you could try playin with the layer styles... I also don't understand... how was your sample unclean? it looked very nice.
