Thanks Man...

Always good to have another PS resource...

A constructive criticism if I may... you should try and avoid frames if at all possible.

Also... the general font is WAY too large... even on my 1280x1024 screen res it's massive... try 10pt or less unless it's a heading.

I did find the site quite slow.

Under Tips and Tricks you recommend that people not use Tutorials if they want to create something... I'd argue that tutorials are one of the best ways to learn things about photoshop you havn't seen before... the manner in which you apply the effect of the tutorial or how you modify it to suit your own taste is where creativity shows... All great artists in history had mentors!

I'd love to participate more in your forum, but i found it very slow.. probably a limitation of your host... Free Hosts usually present that problem.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Mike.

I'm afraid I agree with Mike - the site does seem to be extremely slow (and I'm on 10Mb broadband, so I can't imagine what it would be like on dialup). I also think that following tutorials is the best way to learn. Photoshop is such a huge and powerful application that you'd only learn a fraction of what it can do if you relied on just fumbling about in the dark, so to speak. I've been using Photoshop for years and I still enjoy hunting down new tutorials and learning new stuff by following them.

You need to have someone check your spelling and grammer too.

Still very slow load time. The mouse trailer thing can get very annoying quickly. Also, the images dropping in at the top can also get annoying when you see that happening everytime you load a new page.

I fixed some of your remarks.....The loading time is big because its on a free hosting server..and they limited the speed.
And I stopeed the "dots" around the mouse ...they are gone.
As for the titles I will change that 2 but I don't have any ideea with what....Can you suggest me a better free hosting server?I need 100 MB...
Thnx for your tips.

I find the black text over a dark grey background very difficult on the eyes...

Your site isn't copy heavy, but it certainly was a strain to read the home page content.

The flickering effect on the main nav images is a nice touch, but it's adding a lot of overhead to the site especially considering the speed of your server... single layer indexed .gif's would load much much faster.

I know you've optimized your site for Internet Explorer and i suppose thats wise consiering about 88% of people still use it... but consider that 11% of people switched to Firefox in the last 18 months and it's still growing, you may want to address some of the issues your site has with Firefox and other browsers.

Now, imho, serif fonts look dirty and cluttered... I try to use sans-serif fonts as much as possible... as you will find most sites do.... Arial being the most common, but not the only choice.

Just sharing my views, please don't take any of my criticisms personally.. they are meant to help because you asked...

Mike.

Ok thnx for the tips buty I've got some questions...
1.What do you mean by "but it certainly was a strain to read the home page content."

2nd thing The nav images that flicker are gifs...They are self made in Photoshop....What are you telling me...Should I change them for non flickering buttons!?Or what?
4.About the background and the text colour.....I like it like it is:P.
5.I will try to make a put a more "cooler" font for the text.

The question is: Who are you making this site for - yourself, or your visitors? Black text on a dark grey background (or white text on a light background) is a fundamental design flaw - hard enough for someone with good eyesight to read comfortably, but darn near impossible for someone whose vision isn't 20/20. Maybe you can't do much about the speed of the site, but you can improve its accessibility. The fact is that if your visitors have to wait longer than usual for the site to load, and then when it's finally loaded it's almost impossible to read, they're just going to click away to somewhere else.

You don't need a "cooler" font - just a more readable one. Serif fonts are ideal for printed text, but computer monitors don't render serif fonts so well, which is why (as Mike pointed out) most websites use sans serif fonts like Arial or Verdana (which was, I believe, developed especially for use on computers). If you check out Mike's website, you'll see he knows what he's talking about.

Any other tips?
Thnx for your feedback guys.

who said this was a war or something? everybody spells wrong sometimes in their life. were talking about cbcoolest's SITE.

Ok my turn I guess
First off, if a site takes more than 30 seconds to load, I get antsy and I will close it. But since you want us to look I let it load. I have no patience for a slow running site and Im on high speed broadband. Ask about why it runs so slowly, even though its a free server they will loose business because its so slow. I would ask about that.
Again with the colors, it would be best to choose a dark color and light color. I tried doing the same thing you did or are doing awhile back and I got told the same thing. But after looking at it for awhile I understood. It makes it faster for the eyes to read, after awhile some might highlight your text just to read it. Your graphics at the top are nice but personally, I would want to see more color. What irratates me is that you have 2 borders around all your content. It might be just me, Im using FF and I see that it says its optimized for IE only. When making a site you should always optimize it for all browsers. Not everyone uses or even has IE on their computer. But these are my personal opinions. Take it or leave it. Over all its nice.
