Yea. Cuz you surely HAVE to have correct grammar on your site. In forums bad spelling can be tolerated. But for you sanity and mine... TYPE YOUR D*** WORDS CORRECTLY! Thanks you.

Text color is much better! I think you've found a good contrast between text and background.

Much Better!

Forum is still at slow host though

I noticed that with the new server, I had to wait for the header images to drop in before the first frame of the navigation images was displayed.

You might try using javascript to pre-load the navigation images before the header drops in so that first time visitors, or those who constantly clear their cache don't have to wait.

You can find easy instructions here: javascript: Preloading Images

If you need any additional help, let me know.

Mike.

I think you should leave the drop in thing from the two images.....it's very anoying i think.

And maybe you want to do something about the flashy ie-logo i think on smaller version of it would be enough!!

The rest is pretty good, the design is maybe a bit basic, but it al works very good. And everyone knows where to click wich isn't always the case...

"Forum is still at slow host though"
I know./..I don't have much time these days with school and all.
I'll also make the forum on this webhost as quickly as possible.
So is the speed good enough now?
I tried the script but I have some q's
1.I must put the code in the HEAD?
2.After I changed the code to fit my nav buttons it should do what it says or must i changed something else 2 in my website code so that it works?
Thanks for the help

I think the speed is just fine now...

Yes, the script should go between <HEAD> and </HEAD> preferabbly as the first script (before all other Java Scripts). This will get it pre-loading the images right away....

You should not have to change anything else. What you are trying to do is load the navigation images onto the viewers computer before they are called. This way, when the HTML <img> tag calls for the image, the image is already on the viewers local machine and doesn't have to be downloaded first.

The reason I thought this would help is because your Script that controls the header lowering into position prevents the loading of other images until it has completed. Using a script to pre-load the images BEFORE the lowering header script will make them available much sooner.

Mike.

I am sorry to report that the new server is a bit slow compared to the previous one, but not as bad as your first host...

I'm not sure what your reasoning is for using free hosts... I'll assume it's the cost, but FYI, you can get decent hosting from godaddy.com for $48 per year... And I know there are much cheaper places too...

I noticed for the first time that you have a scrolling message in the status bar... It is my opinion that Java Script usage should be kept to a minimum. When I have an idea that requires js, i ask myself 3 questions:

1. Will it contribute to the delivery or display of what the site is offering?
2. Will all visitors (regardless of browser) see the site as intended?
3. Will the user's experience suffer without the addition?

If I can answer No to any of these questions, I tend not to add the feature.

Hope it helps... good luck finding a better host.

Mike.
p.s. what was wrong with the previous host?

That host may not be allowing PHP access... PHP may not even be installed on the server. There is probably not much you can do about it, but you might try contacting the host and asking them about it.

As for logging in, what do you mean you couldn't login 5 times? After 4 logins it locked you out and you could never get back in? Or do you mean multiple logins (being logged in more than once at the same time)?

I guess it really doesn't matter... It's not worth the hassle on a free host...

Mike.
