Exclamation Help re-creating this effect....

i have an image with what i assume is copper, lit with a red light as far as i can tell...

i am planning to use it as part of a layout for a website, however the patch of the photo witht his effect in is quite frankly, tiny.... and is no good really for what i need it for..

i'd love to be able to recreate the offect somehow... or if any of you have any images like it... basically any help will be greatly appriciated.

I'm assuming you're trying to achieve the red glowing effect on the copper plate...

I'd try and find a burshed copper texture to use as a background... then apply some pattern you like as an overlay.... you'll likely want to gaussian blur the overlay layer quite a bit and adjust the tone using IMAGE -> ADJUSTMENTS -> COLOR BALANCE

For a finishing touch, you may want to use a Lighting Effects filter to give the piece some highlights....

It's hard to be more specific because i'm not sure exactly what your trying for...

Hope i've been at least some help.

If you can't find a copper texture, you could always make your own by following this tutorial: BioRUST.com :: Tutorials >> Brushed Metal

In Step 1, fill the document with a red colour instead of 50% grey.

I would also echo what Mike suggested about using the Lighting Effects filter to give it that finishing touch - you could light it with a red spotlight, maybe?
