Turning OFF anti-aliasing...

I don't mean turning it off on the selection tools etc, but between layers. I'm trying to make a WMP skin, but several areas need to be in solid colour for mapping the functions, and I'm having to resort to Paint to repair it. Sorry to create a new thread just for this, but there wasn't anything similar that I could hijack. Any thoughts, anyone?

This may be a silly suggestion (so you'll have to forgive me if its not what you want), but have you tried the pencil tool? The pixels it draws are totally un-anti-aliased, and ideal for pixel art, WMP skins, etc.

Sorry - I should have been a bit clearer. How is it possible to convert an anti-aliased shape into a single colour? The pencil tool is all fine and well, but it's only useful for drawing squares and circles, and not complex shapes.

lol if you use the lassoo tool round one of your complex shapes and do a copy paste jobbie it should come up nice and jaggered, lol. That should work.

That doesn't work - I still have bits around the edge. And no, defringe does NOT remove them, and I have no idea why. I've worked around it now, so don't worry about it.
