Selecting Layers in CS2

I just got CS2 but I noticed that you can't make a selection of a layer by ctrl + clicking the layer like I could in PS7... anybody know how I can do it in this version?

In the Layers palette, you'll notice a small icon to the left of the layer. It's kind of like a thumbnail of what's on your layer. That's what you have to control + click in order to select what's on the layer.

Yes you can.Just press and hold ctrl and then go with mouse over the layer and then mouse change click it.

It's exactly as Jacorre says: you have to Ctrl+click on the layer thumbnail - nowhere else will work.

Ah thanks! I'm used to clicking anywhere to either side of the thumnail to do it
