Photoshop Elements 4.0

O have just started about 2 months ago with PSE and hoping I can save up for PS any brand hopefully over 7.0 since that is what most tutorials and effects recommend. Really wishing for the newest program, but don't want to overwhelm myself. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else here using or knows how to use this program and can lead me to some easy and free videos. I tend to understand more with video of someone doing then reading.
I also need to figure out how to get my brushes that I loaded to show up everytime, they tend to not be there once I get out of the program after I loaded them. In the folder I see them in there, but they never show up in the the program.

Thanks ahead of time!!!

P.S. I am not sure if this was the right folder to post this in, so please direct me if I am wrong.

this is the right folder/forum thing to post in, dont worry about that.

& i'm really not sure of any videos out there on the web to go by considering i dont have speakers & have issues w/ moving things on my computer, but i didnt use PSE 4 before i got PS. Almost every tutorial written for Photoshop CS and below work in elements. the only thing you really cant do is the liquify filter, which i personally dont use much, and you cant use actions.

as for your brush issue....
are all your brushes in the preset folder for brushes? for example mine would be C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Presets\Brushes
Just go to program files>Adobe>& then elements>& find the preset brushes folder, move all the brushes to there, close elements, re-open it & you should be able to access them by the little drop down arrow that says like...basic brushes, media brushes, & all that.

i hoped that helped & wasn't too confusing. although i just got PS about a month ago im used to using it now & cant remember exactly where everything is in elements.
