Displacement Filter Bug

Hello, I'm sorry I'm not doing much here, I haven't been to a forum in so long. Anyway, I have found what I believe to be a bug in the displace filter (filter>distort>displace). I run it, and absoultely nothing happens, which is odd because it was working yesterday. I've been using "glass"(filter>distort>glass) instead, but I really, REALLY want "displace" back. It looks much better than glass.

EDIT: I just noticed that "displace" does work when the file is placed in a folder I made called "maps". Is the problem that something needs to be named "map" or something? And I forgot to say that I have adobe photoshop CS2 v. 9.0.1. Stupid me.

ANOTHER EDIT: Okay, it's solved, although I still don't perfectly understand what the problem is. I moved all my files to a folder that was easier to get to. The problem stopped. So, does that mean there is a limit to how many subfolders the displacement map can be in? Just wondering.

Uhhh... I have no idea what the problem is... it's got nothing to do with the folder name... or file name. As long as the image you're using for the displacement map is a .psd(possibly others... I'm not sure) then it should work.
