Transforming Shapes

I want to make like a 3 fold, something like, one of those boards you would use for a project at a science fair..? anyways, how can I shift my rectangle inwards, which transformation option do i use? thanks

perspectives.if i'm not wrong that changes the...perspective of the layer XD if its not, then its one of the other transform tools, it doesnt take long to find the right one

Yeah...perspective is the easiest way to do it. You will find though that because you are altering the perspective and angle etc that the sides will appear thinner at the top than they do at the bottom....to get around this you could always make them wider at the top first before you use the transform function. It will take a little bit of trial and error but then that's a good thing as it's a great way to learn.

You probably already have this all figured out by now but I'll post a suggestion anyway.
Hold CTRL and hit T to get into Free Transform mode.
Continue to hold CTRL and move your pointer over one of the little boxes at the corners of the Bounding Box. Now, when you click and drag, instead of re-sizing the image, you'll move just that corner.
You can drag each corner into position, independantly, until you get what you want.
Also, holding CTRL and clicking one of the little boxes along the sides of the Bounding Box will allow you to move that whole side in a way similar to using Perspective.

Thanks, I didnt even get to it again yet. Ill try that out right now. Thanks guys I tried all the transform tools but I had a feeling it was perspective but wasnt too sure. Ill try all suggestions. Thanks
