Rotating a pattern

I thought I saw this topic before, but couldn't locate it. Searched the web, couldn't find an answer. I'm batting a thousand.

Using CS2

I have text on an angle and need to rotate the pattern to match - is this possible?

i presume you mean theres a pattern on the text?

if so try this, make ur text, create a new layer with the pattern then rotate to desired angle. then using alt+click between layers. this will apply the pattern layer u just made to the text layer.

i prob misunderstood your dilema but thats just off the top of my head

I should have mentioned that I'm using a Mac, (alt+click is load section) but I made two text layers, rasterized both text layers, added the pattern to the top layer, then merged the top layer to the bottom layer and then was able to rotate it. (I apologize if I just reiterated your instructions.)
