Moving brushes

Hi, I'm new here so I'll just jump in. I haven't downloaded brushes from this site as yet, but I'm assuming it would be the same as it has for every other download I've gotten. You need to move the file from the folder it downloaded to into Photoshop=>Presets=>Brushes. Since it's not an exe file it can't get there all by its little lonesome.

Lightbulb

yeah, as bferree said, it is basically the same way as u download it form any other places, it will be in a form of a compressed file (ZIP FILE) and u will just put it in the Photoshop=>Presets=>Brushes after u uncompress them, just add the brush icon in only, and u can get rid of the rest.

if it didn't show in photohshop, click, load, when u click left botton in brushes, so yeah...load them form the place u placed the file into and boom, u'll get it there

have fun

i hope that helped!

wait, so, is the brush already there or do you drag it there or something?

Also, when you do the photoshop > presets > brushes, do you mean photoshop the program, or like a tab at the top of the screen?

sorry, i am new at photoshop ^_^;

If you saved the brush to your desktop for example...

You would go to My Computer, then click on the C: drive, then click Program FIles, then click Photoshop, then click presets folder, then click brushes. Once that folder is open, drag your brush file into that folder. Then when you open Photoshop click on the brush tool then the little arrowq and select a new brush set. It will be there by whatever name it is called.

Another option: you can put the new .ABR file anywhere you want on your hard drive and LOAD it from there within Photoshop. With the Brush Tool selected, click at the top to show the list of available brushes, then click the little black arrow (top, right corner of the list) and choose Load Brushes. You can, then, navigate to where you've put the .ABR file.
