Photoshop Slide Show and Sound

I recently did a slide show re my mother's life (who recently passed) in MS Publisher. However, started looking at tutorials and found you can do one is PS. I looked on one site (linked through this one) that helped with the making of the slides but it didn't address sound. I'm thinking of doing a new on in PS if I can put the music I put in the other one (as the words of the music are timed with pictures). Does anyone know if this can be done; and if so, is there an easy to follow tutorial available? I would appreciate your help.

believe me, impossible in PS...
Use Flash or something like that... Powerpoint is very easy in the beginning.
If you want something easy and not very difficult to learn you could try SwishMax...

Photoshop is for static gfx or maybe with Imageready for animated GIF's but that's where the animation show in PS ends...
So sounds in Photoshop is also impossible because well again, it's not animation software...

As Nauzer says, Photoshop can't do it all.
You can put together the video portion of it with Imageready but you'll need something else to add the sound to it.
If you have Windows XP, then you already have Windows Movie Maker, which is pretty basic but will allow you to piece together all of the different parts of your video and add an audio track.
Beyond that, there are a few video editing app.s out there, for free, that'll let you do this, as well. Here are a few - http://www.freewarefiles.com/cat_6_7...s-Editors.html - look around to see what you need.

Good luck.

Thank you both for your information. I had my fingers crossed but that is okay, one thing at a time I guess. I went in the middle of the road and redid all the graphics in the slide show but just kept everything in the Powerpoint (sorry, I said Publisher before). Just as well though as then I didn't have to redo the timing
