Ok Im new to the photoshop program, but i was messing around awhile ago and made all of the picture except the eye i selescted look black and white by doing color overlay with black but now i cant make it do it and dont really remember how i did it in the first place..any ideas?? :/ basically what i want is everything but the eyes to be in black and white..

i think so that your talking about the pop art well for that select the image you want to make it as a popart then paste it onto the new layer and then go to the image menu >> Adjustments >> Threshold....and change it the way you like it it will do it in black and white

This can easily be accomplished by duplicating the picture to a new layer and using Image > Adjustments > Desaturate (which is the simplest way to make it black-n-white - though not the best). Next, you simply remove the eyes from the black-n-white layer to reveal the colored ones beneath. You can erase them or cut them out or use a mask - whichever works for you.
