I think it looks pretty good for your 1st try but one the 1st one I couldn't quite make out the words that flash in and out. You might want to cut the timing down.

i think most animated avatars/sigs are irritating. the same goes to those 2 that you made. i prefer the first one when its not moving, much more artistic XD
