What do you think of my buttons?

Probably too basic! But, can you tell please critique my buttons? I know they are a bit pixel-y but I imagine they would be used in smaller format.

(sorry to use Flickr but I don't have any other website right now)

Thanks,
Mini

Mini you did great. As you say, they are large and would of course be in smaller format. The shadows and reflections are darn good. Do you have rollovers for them?

Thanks!

They are surprisingly easy! I was thinking I could do a tutorial, but then I thought maybe that's just too basic...

hum... rollovers.... I was thinking, in fact, of making them sort of a light grey/clearish in the off state & then having the colored one be the rollover effect.... what were you thinking/what would you sugget?

Mini

When you say grey/clearish do you mean transparent, like a water droplet type effect, see through? Or just light colored? Chromy or plastic grey/silver? Using a less saturated color for the rollovers would work as well. What's on the page?

I was thinking the same bottons but either white or light grey. I'll see if I can get one done tonight. I'm not working on a specific page..... I'm just practicing! ;o)

thanks for your comments.

Mini.

Hey, you should definitely do the tutorial! We would be proud to host your tutorial on BioRust. Please go right ahead with it. It's the really basic stuff that flummoxes most people and anything that helps them out is most welcome!

Looks good. I can imagine how nice they would look if they would be smaller. If I have to find something to improve I would make the dark areas less dark. Though it may be ok when the buttons are on the "right" size. Good job.
