Getting text to..
I really suck at PS7, so bear with me.
How can I get the text to show behind the picture that i'm editting? And how can i change the colors of the pictures?
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit:
Also, on your barcode tutorial, I can't get it to work because, it says that "Could not complete the Add Noice command because the selected are is empty." Please explain? Also, how can I be sure the new layer is transparent?

Hmmm. If you mean the text that shows before the picture is loaded, you need to use the ALT tag in your HTML code. Otherwise, if you mean getting text to show OVER images, thats covered in the 2nd and 3rd page of my Imageready tutorial.
As for the colours, try using the Image > Adjust > Hue / Saturation command in Photoshop, with the colourization checkbox turned on. You'll get some pretty funky colour changes there if you want them....

Ahhh, i'm glad you found it useful! I love clouds myself. So damned useful for many things, including my beloved liquified abstracting effect, thats finding its way into all my newer works...

Paint Bucket -> Color = White -> Fill in the layer.
If that doesn't work, click the upper-left box with dashed lines covering it. Click on your image and drag over it.
If that doesn't even work, I don't know what to say.
You can be sure the layer is transparent if you selected 'Transparent' at the bottom when you created the image. Also, if there's a black-and-white checkerboard thingy on there, it's transparent.

um.
There isn't a "transparent" option for me, at least I don't think there is. I just select no color for mine. Also, how do i cycle between layers?
And yeah, filling it with white fixed my barcode problem, thanks.

Oh crikey. At the basic stages I just advise people to read the Photoshop Help file. Its pretty darned detailed, and I avoid re-inventing the wheel... =)
For the time being, try making the barcode using only one layer totally filled with white. That'll definately work, and avoid transparency, layer selecting, and other issues...

You cannot believe how amazing the F1 button is. (Help button).
I used that SO much when I first got the program. I've been using photoshop for about 3 months now, and trust me I still refer to it sometimes.

Help file? Never seen it - I hate looking at manuals or help files, if i can't work it out then I don't think I deserve to do it
