That will create 5 different segments, in those segments I will put photos of my favourite bands (or people or objects for other people's backgrounds). Quite simple, I just want a few suggestions on how to extend the lines outside the circle while keeping it clean and aligned.
If it helps the pentagram in the thumbnail attached to my first post is a seperate layer. One layer for the pentagram, and subsequent layers for the lines extending outward.

These are just off the top of my head so to speak, I am certain there are many more ways.
The line tool could be used, I tried it with a 5 pixel stroke, then gave it both an inner and outer glow in a soft, warm yellow. It is layered behind the pentagram but in front of the band photo.
Another way would be to do almost the same thing with the brush tool at a 45 degree angle again using the inner and outer glow.
You would want to work with the opacity of the glow so the band photo is still clearly visible and maybe change the blend mode to soft light or even screen. Play around and find one that you think works.
As to the line from the pentagram pointing directly to the mid-point of the band photo, it might take a little bit of adjustment and moving and stretching the photo into position. That's what I did, I did not rotate the pentagram itself, just the band photos.
