Qutting Unexpectedly..

Ok, so I was working on something and all of a sudden it says that windows was having a problem with PS CS and needs to be closed.. yes of course im an idiot and didnt save to begin with.. but why the hell does it do it? it does it when a filter is applied when the dialog box pops up.. why would it do this?

It sounds like a hardware or software problem to me. Try reinstalling PS-CS, scanning your hard-disk for errors, and then running stress tests on your machine to diagnose hardware errors. RAM faults often present themselves as an unstable system before they go totally fubar...
