Hmmm, animating in imageready can be a real chore. For what its worth, here's a couple of tutorials on the subject. Hope you find them useful...

Heh, I wouldnt call it junk really - but its definately not designed to do the complex animation thing. Flash is definately the way forward in that regard...

Imageready is good for real simple animations.

I tried to make a banner with moving cloudscape, about 50 frames, the image was 1.24 mb with only 2 colors...

thanks fer your input on the animations thing. now about flash, it's great but is it really complex to understand. and does anyone know the price range for macromedia flash?

It's a lot. I'm thinking at least $300 as a minimum guess. Flash isn't too complex once you understand the concept of tweening and the timeline. Many tutorials can be found to teach you that.

Flash has a large support on the net tutorial-wise, unlike imageready.

True, but Macromedia run tons of trials. Go and get it - you'll get at least 1 months usage out of it...

I wouldn't use ImageReady for animations, although I'm in the process of making a Ping-Pong animation. Kind of hypocritical?

There's tons of freeware out there you can use instead. If you want I could find some.

Psst... Use Flash if possible.

I doubt any freeware is near as good as flash, or even Image Ready for that matter.

It's not Flash. I might have it bookmarked, but I'm pretty sure I saw it on another forum. I'll look for it and get back to you on that.
