Swirls?

How does one go about making swirls like the ones on this page:

Far right, background, the light blue swirls. Not the skulls, just the swirls.

Those swirls are vector based rather than raster based (i.e. they use paths based more in Illustrator than Photoshop). Using the pen tools it is easy to make the simpler types of swirl, but to make the ones that taper and get thicker/thinner you'll really need a vector illustration program itself... :/

you may find some photoshop brushes like that if you look around! I just don't know where though which is a great help isn't it

And speaking of skulls, is there a skull/macabre brush set that you know of?
I could really use one...

You could definately look through the Biorust resources but if not you could check out deviantart.com. They usually have a lot of crazy brushes submitted.

Ive done searches online for swirls and other things thats how I found this site. I have a number of swirl brushes in my PS CS, just have to look. I also like http://www.websoup.org or just look for photoshop resources or something. google it! if you look youll find.. If you make it.. always remember itll take time to get the perfect one your looking for.. just take your time

If you ever saw the commercial ad for traveling to the bahamas I think it is.. its colorful and has similar graphics like dots and swirls I wanna know how to do that.. maybe I can find it on the internet. http://www.bahamas.com/bahamas/index.aspx

that type of backgrounds and they have a top and footer border.. is that manually made or a set of brushes or something? another set of graphics that would look nice with swirls also..
