Saving Styles

Hello! Newbie Bo Davies reporting in! First querie to put to the overlords of PS is this...When you've created all your Layer Styles, you have the option of hitting the New Style... button and saving the settings. Dead handy! However, should you need to load up a new Styles set, it replaces your saved styles, and when you go back to the Styles set you added your custom Style to, it's not there anymore! Is there a way of permanently saving Styles? I'd be terribly appreciative if anyone can help me out on this one!

Well, the way I do it is using the option to Append Layer styles. That way it just adds the styles you loaded to the bottom of what was already loaded. Sure this makes for a long list of styles, but that's what Adobe added the ability to resize the styles window

If you do it that way -- it will load up with all of the styles every time you load PS.

The little arrow on the right hand of your styles pallet...click on it and it will bring up all your options. If you click on Save Styles, it will allow you to name the group of styles and save them. When you want to load them again, click on the same arrow and within the options listed, it should also give you a list of your saved styles.....select the one you want.

Hope this helps.
