Need help...

Been off the scene for half a year and have forgotten basicly everything I once knew. A friend however asked me to create a banner for her forum. It's named Green Dragon's Lair and I'm going to create a serpentskin effect and blend in some dragon pictures and add some fancy text. The thing is that I completely forgot how to create that stupid serpentskin effect (which I was quite good at back on my days) and was wondering if anyone could post a tutorial or step to step explaination here.

I'm afraid I can't find any tutorial that says how to make a detailed snakeskin/scaley type effect! I'd recommend you find a stock texture or something...

Actually, The Web Machine has a scale tutorial. I never used it but I remember it being there. In their Photoshop Section, of course. It is a text effect, but simple enoguh to adapt out of that.
