What you have to do is cut and paste the abr file in your Photoshop/Presets/Brushes folder. Then open Photoshop and select the brush tool. Now when you click on the second icon in the bar under the "file edit image layer etc" bar, you can browse the brush presets.
that should do it, hope i've been clear! :P

I dont know if its only photoshop7 or something (probably not) but when you double click the brushes, while having photoshop open the brushes add to your brush list. Just scroll down and see, cause they appear at the bottom.

Or in the brushes window, click on the little circle in the top right corner and choose "add brush"...it will load your brush in your list
But if you choose "REPLACE", it will only load the selected brushes in your list but will erase the others which were present in the list...so if your were having custom brushes, they'll be lost

Unfortunately this is very true. If you have CS or greater you can be rest assured that all the brushes work, if you have PS7, then around 80% will work, and for older versions you'd be lucky to find any that work.

I wish there was some way to find out compatability easily (other than loading them into each and every version). Adobe really should have seen this coming and designed a proper standard from the start. If it was easy to do versioning i'd add an extra information field to the downloads section or something...
