If you download a font where do you add it?
Take for instance you downloard a contour or something of the sort.
Just go into Adobe, and just fish around until you find presets. Go into contours, add, and you're done.
Now how do you add in fonts like that so that they take?

Exactly as S2f Said... but don't forget that you CANNOT extract straight from a zipfile into the fonts directory - it has to be decompressed before u move it, or the font will not automatically add itself to the system.

It doesnt have to be decompressed, all you have to do is view the folder afterwards and the system will get the clank that the font is in lol. Silly but works.

LOL! I just prefer to keep things simple. Compressed files just dont work with my version of windows tho... Its dying and in desperate need of a reinstall (which i've decided I'll only do when I have a n00 PC!). ;P

Hey, remember to let me know if you find a really nice font that would benefit other members of Biorust. I'll contact the author and pop it into the downloads section for all to enjoy...

Installing New Fonts
I have downed several folders of fonts. Not .tiff but .afm, .pfb and .pfm files.
Do you just add these fonts to the windows font folder? Will they be seen by photoshop. Have read that .tiff can be added this way but not sure about these files.

If you want the fonts just for photoshop and not windows itself you can add them this way.
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
this way it will be just only for photoshop. Is a way to keep things neat and oraganized..LOL

fonts folder
if it says that you've already got the font, then most of the time you have to delete the font that's already in the folder to be able to install the new(er) one
