Dotted lines?

Does anyone know how to create dotted lines in PS7? I've even tried the hard way(deleting pieces of a line) but there must be an easier way to do it, I just couldn't find it.

I find the easiest way is to use patterns - create a new document (transparent background) 2x2px - fill the top left and bottom right pixels with black (or whatever colour you want). Then select all (CTRL+A) and go to edit > define pattern.

Now if you select the single row/column marquee tool and make your line just fill it with the pattern you just made.

To make the dots more spaced just adjust the size of the document you use to make your pattern

Yeah, I have always used patterns as r4z0r said. They just seem the easiest to make and use.

Thnx for the tips guys,

I find the way given by M0g the easiest to use. So I'll stick with that.

this is the most stupid post ever, why dont yuo just use the text tool?. just type your dots in. Then rasterize the layer, and you are free to manipulate it however you want.

LOL! You know, the simplest solutions are often the best. I never even gave that method a thought... :P

That what I would've probably done.

Do that for a little bit. Rasterize layer. Duplicate. Free Transform. Get all four sides, then Merge.

But question is... Can you also do curved lines with this method?
Guess you can, but they won't look pretty.

That's where 'M0g's method' kicks in. It's ideal and you don't have to do all that transforming

heheh still some people never leanr,
to make a curved line that is perfect, it is just about as easy,

1. use the text tool and type out your dots
2. rasterize the layer.
3. go to EDIT>TRANSFORM>ROTATE 90CW
4. FILTER>DISTORT>SHEAR (then play around with the settings)
5. THEN GO TO EDIT>TRANSFORM>ROTATE 90 CCW.

finished, you can manipulate text any way you want with my help, lol,
