and go with the Nikon D100 SLR wooh...only ... $1500 USD on ebay.ca for a dual lens package :P it wont cost you your car...you just have to save...if you want to get into photography do it right or dont bother...get something good you dont have to get the D100 theres lots of good cameras but no offence but a Kodak point and shoot 2 MP is a waste of money those are for like families and teenage girls who shoot 500 pictures of there friends a day...:P If you want to take really good art type photos and be digital i suggest eithyer getting a extreme top end point and shoot or save the bit more and get a nice Digital SLR...do some research fine the Camera for you...Now a days the leading brands in art photography seem to be Canon and Nikon check some of there stuff
you dont need to be a professional to use them either...just take the time to learn what everything does take some tuts on the net...point and shoots are like trying to create a graphic in Paint...just learn what what does and what what means and you should be good
