Depends how much your willing to, or can spend.

Canon D30, Canon D60, Canon 10D, Canon 300D, all great cameras, just depends what your budget is, if you are thinking of getting a D30, remember they are old and shutters on them are having to be replaced.

Another thing to get if your getting a Canon DSLR is a good lens, good lens means a nice sharp, crisp image, something that I persoanlly like more than sharpening it up in PS.

But, as I said in another topic Its not the camera that counts, its what the photographer can do with it.
