A net photo friend on another site had used something called
Dynamic Photo for his HDR work. I checked it out and really like the look of the interface plus... the latest version seems to address an issue I have had with tone mapping HDR's where it creates a halo effect around tree lines etc. and looks like it might good competitor to Photomatix Pro.
Its another Windows only app so I haven't tried it yet but... its got my curiousity and wasn't sure if it had been mentioned before or not. So if this is old news... I apologize.
