Tamlin- I dont see your view so much as cynical, more realistic.
where I live in Las Vegas area, we are next to a giant man made resivoir (lake mead)
filled by the colorado river and held back by hoover dam. the thing is, the lake is drying up. drout conditions and the fact that the water goes to vegas and california is using up more than can be replenished. and yet here in vegas, Growth continues at a rampant pace. being semi involved in the construction industry puts me in a hard place, I do not want to see more houses. I do not want to loose any more of the natural landscape. but if all growth stops, I would probably be out of work. yes, I could find other work and if I had my choice of my current job, or no new growth it would be for no growth.
will mankind ever get it together and fix everything? i dont know, I am just hoping that we can keep it together without destroying ourselves until after im gone. Maybe our children will have a better answer.
