That's what I liked about this tutorial was that it used the adjustment layers and you can just play around with it until you get what you like.

Being new to Photoshop graphics it wouldn't have occurred to me to try Curves and all that. I'm a former Paint Shop Pro weenie with all the filters and plugins to prove it.

I know of three of four filters or plugins that might almost make it look like spray paint. But I think I prefer this method because rather than making a glossy gold appearance to the image it looks like spray paint, into the skin cracks and folds with believable contours to the shine.

P.S. I like that one you did Tamlin. It looks like gold lamé to me and I'm working with that to see if I can reproduce your effect for something else I've got in mind. Thanks much
