Creationism vs Evolution (always gets people riled up)
Morality (or otherwise) of genetic engineering, stem-cell research etc.
Is it defensible to spend vast amounts of money on a Space Exploration programme when there are more pressing problems in this world (poverty, hunger, disease etc.)?
Which is better: PC or Mac? (another source of endless - and probably pointless - debate)
Climate change/global warming - an Inconvenient Truth or a Convenient Bandwagon for politicians?
Modern Art: is it groundbreaking, challenging, thought-provoking...or just a load of old toss?
Leonardo da Vinci or Michaelangelo: who would win in a fight?
Pepsi or Coke?
