Hey Phoenix - it's been a while!

If you're talking about saving as a JPG: the better the quality setting, the better any gradients will be rendered - but with a corresponding increase in file size. Another way would be to save in a lossless format (e.g. non-compressed TIF), but again the file size will be considerable.
